ABOUT DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal Filler is a non-surgical treatment specifically designed to add volume and contours to facial features, restoring a youthful appearance to areas that hollow, wrinkle and sag due to genetics, age, lifestyle or even weight loss. The result of a single treatment is seen instantly and may last for up to 18 months depending on the area being treated. We offer a range of specially tailored treatments to enhance your appearance.

Swedish Dermal Filler is a clear gel made from a substance called hyaluronic acid (HA) which is present in the human body and occurs naturally in the skin and depletes as we age. The Dermal Filler enables you to replace the diminished natural substance to provide volume and moisture for a refreshed and more youthful appearance.

Dermal Fillers typically last between 6 to 12 months. However, this varies between patients and depends on many factors such as skin type, lifestyle, age, the product used as well as the area treated. At Body Recon we choose from a wide selection of dermal fillers based on the desired outcome.

The most common areas to treat are:

Swedish Dermal Filler can be used to treat the fine lines and wrinkles. Many people sing the praises of filler to improve their facial features and dimensions.

By replenishing the skin’s supply of hydration, Swedish Dermal Filler rejuvenates and adds volume to the skin, instantly diminishing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and giving a natural softer look. Swedish Dermal Filler is a soft injectable gel consisting of stabilized, non-animal. The gel is tissue-friendly and closely resembles this naturally occurring substance that exists naturally in the body. It is long-lasting but not permanent.

The main differences between these fillers are their thickness, viscosity, and longevity. The finer and smoother ones tend to not last as long, whilst the thicker viscous fillers last longer. Finer fillers are generally used in areas where the skin is fine and smoothness is critical, such as around the eyes or upper lip. These fillers are very fine and can be placed superficially in the skin without causing lumps. The thicker fillers are used for more bulk volumisation of areas such as the cheeks, or jawline. They are typically injected deeper than the finer fillers.

Before

Start by making an appointment with one of our Cosmetic Injecting Nurses. During consultation be prepared to discuss your individual wishes and expectations and receive recommendations of which Swedish Dermal Filler treatment is most suitable for you. This will be based on what you wish to achieve, your features and individual life style factors. The consultation is free of charge. Majority of people will go ahead with treatment on the day, however there is no obligation.

During

Swedish Dermal Filler is injected into the skin in small amounts using a very fine needle. The gel provides natural volume to smooth away the appearance of lines and wrinkles, enhance facial shape, or create fuller lips. The treatment is quick, typically taking about 30 minutes. Treatment with Swedish Dermal Filler does not affect facial expression and the benefits can normally be seen instantly. Often filler is administered after the application of our specially formulated numbing cream and/ or ice.

After

Swedish Dermal Filler is biodegradable, which means they will naturally disappear in the body. A follow-up treatment is usually needed after 6 to 12 months depending on individual factors and area treated. We generally like to review all Swedish Dermal Filler patients a week or two after their treatment also to ensure you are loving the results of your treatment. Discuss with your injector when a follow-up might be needed. After a treatment some reactions might occur. Most common is slight redness, swelling, itching, bruising, pain and tenderness. The reactions are generally mild to moderate and usually disappear shortly after injection. They usually resolve spontaneously within one or two days after injection, but for some treatments they may last longer.

The treatment is fantastic when in the right hands. Our Cosmetic Injecting Nurses at Body Recon are highly skilled, trained and qualified to provide you the best treatment option ensuring you receive the best results possible. They pride themselves on understanding what it is that you are wanting improvement on and then developing a correct customised treatment plan for you.

One of the great advantages of Swedish Dermal Filler is that the effects are long lasting but not permanent. Duration depends on many factors, such as the individual’s skin type, lifestyle, age and what product is used and where. After the initial treatment, follow-up sessions are normally recommended around every 6 to 24 months depending on the individual and the treatment. Often with Filler you tend to expect to have perfect lips, cheeks etc. so patients generally like to maintain their results with treatments spaced approximately every 6-12 months.

Most people can benefit from this treatment. If you want to reduce lines and wrinkles, create a great structure to the face or create more defined or fuller lips- Swedish Dermal Filler can help. Also if you want to define the contours of your face, such as chin or cheek, or rejuvenate the skin in your face, on your hands, neck or décolletage, it is a good option for you.
