Frequently Asked Questions Geelong
What is involved in an initial consultation?
Usually, your initial consultation will be with Richard. It is the ideal time to discuss your options and agree on what is best for you. He can answer any of your questions. This is also when a thorough medical history and any investigations can also be performed.
However, if you are interested in undergoing a cosmetic procedure, you can book in to see our cosmetic nurse for a free initial consultation. If you decide that you are interested in pursuing surgery then you will of course need to meet with Richard personally before you can proceed.
The cost for a consultation with Richard is AU$170. In some instances there is a Medicare rebate on this.
Where do I need to go for my consultation and for any procedures?
Dr. Rahdon’s private consulting rooms are located in St John of God hospital in central Geelong. (Level 5, 80 Myers St)
The consultations and some minor procedures are performed at the surgical facility there.
Surgery can be performed at the state of the art surgical centre at St John of God or nearby at Geelong Private Hospital.
How long will I take to recover from surgery?
This depends on the type of surgery you are having. You will have a good idea of recovery time after talking to Dr. Rahdon and will be able to plan ahead. Your recovery will also be aided by the comprehensive follow-up we provide to any surgery.
